“We’re growing, said OIAMS Executive Director Greg Remensperger. “We’re already the largest four-day auto show in the Pacific Northwest and now, in recognition of the vast and growing motorcycle market, we’re bringing back the bikes, and lots of them, to our expanded a Motorcycle Pavilion. Remember, you don’t stop riding when you get old; you get old when you stop riding.”
The annual show is traditionally the largest display of new motor vehicles and accessories in the Pacific Northwest. It will be held this year from Feb. 20 to 23 at the Oregon Convention Center, 777 N.E. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. in Portland.
As always, the show will feature representatives from global automotive brands who will be on-site to answer questions and provide information on new vehicles and vehicle technology. The current brand lineup includes: BMW, Buick, Chevrolet, Chrysler, Dodge, Ford, Genesis, GMC, Honda, INEOS, Infiniti, Jeep, Kia, Mercedes, Mini, Polestar, RAM, Subaru, Tesla, Toyota, Volkswagen and Volvo, with others being added as the opening approaches.

The show is also happening during a critical time for an important segment of the automotive industry: electric vehicles. President Donald Trump reversed years of growing federal pressure to increase the production and sale of new EVs during his first few weeks in office. He repudiated the previous administration’s goal of battery-powered vehicles accounting for 50% of new sales in the U.S. by 2030. Among other things, he upending federal tax credits, higher fuel economy standards, and charging station construction projects intended to help achieve that goal. A wide selection of EVs will still be available at the show for those interested in them, however.
At the same time, many consumers who want to save fuel are embracing a new generation of traditional gas/electric hybrids that not only get exceptional mileage but are more powerful than their gas-only competitors. That makes them fun to drive, eliminating the stigma of hybrids being economical but boring. Most new models will be show, too.
New this year, the Motorcycle Pavilion is being expanded and moved to the larger Portland Ballroom, where it will be easier to find and see. It will feature such top brands such as Suzuki, Kawasaki, Honda, Polaris, Yamaha, KTM and Zero, with others being added as the opening approaches.
