Ziggi's Coffee opened its first Oregon location in Sherwood on Jan. 21.

A Denver-based coffee chain has selected Sherwood to open its first coffee shop in Oregon.

On Tuesday, Jan. 21, Ziggi’s Coffee opened in a 648-square-foot shop with a drive-thru design at 21003 Highway 99W.

“Ziggi’s Coffee offers a robust beverage lineup including specialty coffees, chai and teas, Fresherz, Energy Infusions, smoothies, Italian sodas and more,” said a statement from the coffee chain, founded in 2003. “The brand also serves a variety of tasty food items — from sweet to savory — that will satisfy any craving throughout the day, from breakfast sandwiches, burritos, and paninis to baked goods like bread, cinnamon rolls, scones, cookies and cake pops.”

The Sherwood Ziggi’s, owned and operated by husband-and-wife duo Karen and Dennis Borman, is expected to add approximately 20 new jobs to the local economy.

“As long-time members of the Sherwood community, we’re excited to bring Ziggi’s Coffee to a growing area that’s home to so many families,” the Bormans said in a news release. “We look forward to supporting local schools, sports and healthcare providers and raising funds for local charities. It’s an honor to be part of this vibrant community and contribute to its continued growth.”

Grand opening specials include:
