With the success of last year’s shuttle service, the Oktoberfest crew is revamping its shuttle plan to make getting to and from the festivities even easier.

Parking has always been a challenge, and the festival has provided trollies for motorists who have had to park a fair distance from the city center. This year attendees continue to have an appealing option to board a round-trip shuttle from closer to home for the festivities slated Thursday through Sunday, Sept. 12-15.
Attendees heading to Mount Angel from Woodburn or Silverton can catch a shuttle ride for $5, while those coming from Salem or Portland pay just $20 for the roundtrip.
The rides from Clackamas (Monarch Hotel parking lot, 12566 S.E. 93rd Ave.), Portland (Zidell Yards, 3121 S. Moody Ave.) and Salem (Oregon State Fair Grounds, 2330 17th St. NE) begin at noon and last depart from Oktoberfest at 9 p.m. Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
Woodburn (Woodburn Park and Ride, near the Interstate 5 on ramp) and Silverton (Silverton Middle School, 714 Schlador St.) can ride the shuttle Thursday, in addition to Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
And to make matters even better, all of the routes are direct — Shuttle-goers will head straight from their departure point to Oktoberfest, with no stops.
While buying tickets online in advance (no purchases can be made at the bus doors), riders will select their departure time and place both from their home locations and to leave from Oktoberfest.
“When the buses are filled, the option for each time slot will disappear and not be a possible selection,” according to festival planners.
Some rules of the road, per Mount Angel Oktoberfest:
- No alcohol is permitted on the buses.
- No pets are permitted.
- Be a good neighbor to those around you on the bus.
- If you enter the bus and appear to be poorly behaved or at risk of vomiting, you will be asked to leave. No refund will be given.
- All rides will be purchased online. Class Act Staff will have no cash on their person.
- Confirmation of purchase should be presented to the Loading Site staff before boarding.
- Patrons need not be 21. However, no rider under 18 years will be permitted to ride without an adult.
The shuttle service is presented in partnership this year through North Marion County Tourism Collaborative; Travel Oregon; city of Woodburn; Mount Angel Oktoberfest; city of Silverton and Class Act Events.
Shuttles not your style? Parking is also available in two lots as you approach Mount Angel on Highway 214. Parking, including the cost for trolley service, costs $15 for the entire day.
