Brewfest to return to Wilsonville Oregon this summer

It’s been four long years, but the Wilsonville Brewfest is finally back.

On Aug. 19, the Villebois Piazza will transform into a brewery with live music, bites and local beers on tap from noon to 8 p.m. Tickets, which include a mug and 10 tasting tickets, cost $25 online or $30 at the door.

The last brewfest was in 2019, and it has been canceled every year since due to the COVID-19 pandemic. J. Hill Property Group is reviving the event this year in conjunction with Vanguard Brewing Company and charity event planners Event Savvy.

“I really believe as real estate agents that part of our role is to create community where we live,” J. Hill Property Group CEO Jennie Hill said.

Though participants have not yet been confirmed, Lin Anderson with Vanguard Brewing Company said they are planning to have 12 breweries and three cider makers, and each will bring two tasting options.

Proceeds from the event will go to the NW Cancer Resource Fund, an organization dedicated to fundraising for cancer assistance. The first-ever brewfest cornhole tournament, meanwhile, will raise money for Operation Spartan Flags, which offers community and support to veterans experiencing PTSD by teaching them woodworking skills. Cornhole teams can register to compete by purchasing special tickets that will become available in a few weeks, Hill said.

Though ticket purchases are restricted to people 21 and older, the event is family-friendly and non-alcoholic beverages will be available.

There are still volunteer and sponsorship opportunities available, Hill said, and volunteers will be invited to an exclusive afterparty at Vanguard Brewing Company. Tickets are on sale now on the brewfest website.

“It will have all the best parts of brewfests of the past with a new, fresh take on it,” Hill said.
