The Adelante Mujeres Farmers Markets return for the 2025 season starting Wednesday, May 7, on Main Street in Forest Grove.

It’s that time of year: when Wednesday nights in Forest Grove mean sizzling street food, local goods and gathering under an open sky.

The Adelante Mujeres Forest Grove Farmers Market returns for its 2025 season Wednesday, May 7, running weekly from 4 to 8 p.m. through Oct. 29 on Main Street.

Drawing crowds of more than 3,000, the market has become a community cornerstone since launching in 2005 — offering a space to build local partnerships and expand access to fresh produce.

“The Adelante Farmers Market is more than a place to shop — it’s where neighbors become friends, cultures are celebrated and everyone is invited to the table,” the organization said in a release.

As in years past, shoppers can expect a colorful mix of vendors in the heart of downtown — with local farmers and makers selling everything from just-picked produce and meats to baked goods, wine, hot meals, handmade soaps and more.

So what’s new this year?

Growth — and lots of it.

The market will continue to coincide with the Forest Grove Festival of the Arts, expanding dining and entertainment onto 21st Avenue every first Wednesday of the month.

Additional vendors will also pop up on second, fourth and occasional fifth Wednesdays, bringing even more hot food and artisan goods into the mix.

To increase access to health resources, monthly health fairs will take place May through September, in partnership with Adelante Mujeres’ Health Equity team.

Cultural celebrations are also returning, including Salsa Fest with Barrio Mestizo, a Día de los Muertos celebration, a Halloween pet costume contest and a market anniversary event featuring Latin Rock Exchange and square dancing led by Shirley Rossetti.

Now in its 21st year, the market also serves as a small-business incubator, offering hands-on experience and training for Latine entrepreneurs and beginning farmers enrolled in Adelante Mujeres’ Regenerative Agriculture and Empresas Small Business Development programs.

“The Adelante Farmers Market nurtures community and celebrates culture by strengthening direct access to fresh, culturally relevant foods,” Delicia Arellano, market operations specialist for Adelante Mujeres, said in a release. “It’s an inclusive space where families can gather, local businesses can grow and we can all thrive together.”

The market accepts SNAP/EBT, WIC and Senior Farm Direct coupons — matching up to $20 per market day through Double Up Food Bucks and EBT Cash Produce Match.
