Is that the moon moving … or a golf ball coming my way?

Find your glowsticks because the First Annual Madras-Jefferson County Chamber of Commerce Glow Ball Golf event fundraiser will hit Desert Peaks Golf Course in Madras Friday, Oct. 4.

Teams of four will playing for prizes and fun. Players are to be at the golf course at 5 p.m. with paly to start at 5:30 p.m. There will be two teams of four at each hole.

Darkness will falling before the catered dinner break at 7:30. After the dinner, it will be time to golf again, with golf balls glowing, glowsticks on decorated carts, and glowing neon for those dressed in the spirit of the night.

The cost to participate is: $750 for a team of four plus two hole sponsorships; $600 for a team of four with one hole sponsorship; $400 for a team of four players. The entry fees get a dinner and one free drink ticket for each player. For businesses that would like to sponsor a hole, the fee is $200.

Businesses that would like to contribute to the swag bags, which will be given to the various contest winners, are encouraged to drop prizes off at the chamber by 4:30 p.m. Monday, Sept. 30. There will be various competitions, from longest drive to best decorated cart.
