The telecommunications company has been expanding its services of late, making them available in both cities for the first time. The Xfinity branded van has carts that roll out with each supporting different products. It was built by Gallagher Designs in Hillsboro.
The van will be at Hubbard Mobile Estates from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 3.
The mobile store is intended to offer the same services as in-store ones with the idea of making it more convenient for anyone who doesn’t live relatively close to a brick-and-mortar location. The nearest stores to Woodburn are in Salem, Newberg and Tigard.

Comcast officials have dubbed the mobile stores as Xfinity on wheels or XOW, which they pronounce “show.” They added that the mobiles will have all products and services, including high-speed data, video, home security and mobile services with an eight-phone demonstration capability (four Apple, two Moto and two Samsung) .
Comcast’s Director of External Communications Amy Keiter noted that as Xfinity expands service into Woodburn and Hubbard, Comcast representatives needed a way to demo products in an area devoid of physical stores. The XOW van affords that, allowing real-time demonstrations and education on services and products in more remote locations.
“Our new Xfinity on Wheels van brings our retail stores right to our customers,”Keiter said. “Our team is happy to demonstrate our X1 entertainment platform, our blazing fast internet speeds, and our very competitive mobile phone services.”
The van also serves as an emergency wireless communications resource. In major emergencies, the XOW van can be deployed to assist in providing wireless internet service for command units and field ops.
